
Contractors handling construction projects at NASENI’S Sustainable and Emerging Technologies Institute (SETI), New Campus, Bayero University Kano (BUK) and the Hydraulic Equipment Development Institute (HEDI) in Kano, Kano state have pledged to deliver within schedule.
According to the terms of projects, the contractors and the project consultants have six months and four months respectively to complete construction works and hand over the site to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
A team of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) committee led by Director of Audit at NASENI, Mr. Sulaimon Ayinla, who visited project sites on February 23, 2025, to assess the level of works, interacted with the Management of HEDI led by its Overseeing Officer, Mrs. Maryam Murtala Dantana; the Consultant, ICONS Arkitektur-OCA; and the two contractors, Bean Town Nig Ltd and BP Sani & Co Ltd, handling the construction.

Ongoing projects at HEDI Kano which was at an early stage as at the time of the visit included the construction of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Centre, Training Centre and Production Complex. The contractors pledged to deliver within stipulated time of four months (12 weeks) to the Agency.
AT SETI site where construction works are going on, the Project Manager of SETI, Engr. Sani Umaru said work was progressing as the consultant, Xmatrix 369 Ltd and the contractors are dedicated to ensuring that they meet the deadline to deliver and handover the projects to NASENI.
The SETI projects include construction of Processing Workshop, Virtual Lab, Gate House and Perimeter Fence (Phase 1) by PEE CEE ESS Projects Ltd; ICT Centre and Production and Assembly Workshop by Ngaloma Construction Co Ltd; Technology Orientation Centre and Multi-Purpose Hall by ASBA Synergy Concept Ltd; and Administrative Building (Phase 1) by Cromwell Multi-Global Enterprises Ltd.
According to Arc. Sani Shehu Sani of Xmatrix 369 Ltd, the project duration is six months. He said the ICT Centre was at 60 per cent completion, Admin Block (Phase 1) was at 40 per cent, Virtual Lab at 50 per cent, Production and Assembly Workshop was at 30 per cent, the Multi-Purpose Hall was 30 per cent, and the Gate House was at 60 per cent while the Perimeter Fencing was at 20 per cent.
