The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has showcased its newly produced electric vehicles (EVs) in Plateau State. These vehicles, which include sedans, buses, and pickup trucks, were fully assembled in Nigeria under the leadership of the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Khalil Suleiman Halilu.

This milestone proves that Nigeria has the ability to develop and use advanced technology within the country. The introduction of locally assembled EVs is expected to boost the country’s transportation sector while promoting cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.

NASENI’s effort aligns with the federal government’s goal of encouraging local production and reducing reliance on imported vehicles. The agency believes that this innovation will help create jobs, transfer technology, and improve Nigeria’s position in the global automotive industry.

With this achievement, Nigeria is taking a bold step toward a future where electric vehicles become a common sight on the country’s roads.
