Earlier today, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida, was represented by the Acting Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Engr. Abraham Oshadami, as they received the leadership of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) on a courtesy visit. Led by the society’s President, Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, FNCS, the visit served as an opportunity for the NCS to engage with the Commission and discuss various aspects of their advocacy work and flagship programs. The NCS delegation sought collaboration with the NCC, highlighting the importance of partnership in advancing the goals of both organizations within the technology sector.
During the courtesy visit, discussions centered on areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration between the NCC and the NCS. The NCS shared insights into their advocacy initiatives and flagship programs, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of their objectives and priorities. Additionally, the society expressed its readiness to work closely with the NCC in leveraging technology for national development and addressing key challenges facing the ICT industry in Nigeria.
As stakeholders in the technology ecosystem, the NCC and the NCS recognize the importance of collaboration in driving innovation, promoting digital inclusion, and advancing the nation’s ICT agenda.
