The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced public inquiries regarding draft regulatory instruments aimed at enhancing telecommunications operations in the country.

The draft regulations and guidelines, including those concerning interconnection, approval for disconnecting telecommunications operators, and dispute resolution, are open for stakeholder feedback and participation.

Scheduled to be held on May 21st and 22nd, 2024, stakeholders are encouraged to submit written comments and attend the public inquiries to provide their insights and suggestions.

Interested parties are invited to contribute to the regulatory process by submitting their written submissions to the NCC’s Head Office in Abuja by May 10th, 2024.

The Commission emphasizes the importance of stakeholder engagement in shaping telecommunications regulations that promote industry growth and ensure fair practices.

The public inquiries, to be held at the NCC’s Conference Room, offer a platform for stakeholders to voice their concerns and recommendations directly to the regulatory body, fostering transparency and collaboration in the regulatory process.

With telecommunications playing a critical role in Nigeria’s socio-economic development, the NCC’s initiative to gather stakeholder input highlights its commitment to fostering a conducive regulatory environment.

By soliciting feedback on the draft regulations and guidelines, the Commission aims to address industry challenges, streamline operations, and promote a fair and competitive telecommunications landscape in the country.

Stakeholders are urged to seize this opportunity to contribute to the shaping of regulations that will ultimately impact the telecommunications sector’s future trajectory.
