The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched the second phase of its Strategic Focus Group Meetings in Borno State, as part of its nationwide campaign to promote Made-in-Nigeria products. The meeting brought together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss ways to boost confidence in locally manufactured goods, improve product quality, and expand market access.
The initiative is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Nigeria First” policy, which aims to promote the use of local products, create jobs, conserve foreign exchange, and drive industrial growth. NASENI’s efforts are focused on creating sustainable value chains and boosting Nigeria’s manufacturing capabilities through innovation, research, and collaboration among government, academia, and the private sector.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Enhancing Trust: Developing strategies to boost confidence in locally made goods.
- Improving Quality: Improving product quality to meet international standards.
- Market Access: Expanding market access for Made-in-Nigeria products.
Under the leadership of Executive Vice Chairman Khalil Suleiman Halilu, NASENI is working to connect policy with practical action, ensuring that the realities faced by local producers inform strategies to make Nigerian goods competitive in the global market.
The Borno meeting is a significant step in NASENI’s nationwide engagement, aimed at promoting Made-in-Nigeria products and supporting the country’s economic growth. By engaging stakeholders and developing effective strategies, NASENI is committed to making Nigerian goods the preferred choice domestically and internationally.
